LAW OF ABROGATION - In the case two verses in the koran conflict the later revealed text abrogates the earlier text. The first half of mohamid's life was as a peaceful religious profit and the last part of his life he was a vicious brutal warlord. The koran is not written in chronological order but was put together with the longest verses first. Hard for a newby to tell the age of a revelation but if it is a peaceful verse you can bet it has been over ruled, abrogated.

Apostasy - It is a death sentence to leave islam
