Where's the blood?

So - I'm watching the raw footage from LiveLeak (http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=bc6_1420632668) and I have a question for all of you.

Where is the blood? The Kalashnikoff would have blown the head off of the supposed victim lying on the sidewalk but not only is there no blood splatter AT ALL, there is a puff of smoke about 3 feet to the right of the victim as the masked gunman walks by.

I have NO DOUBT that the threat of radical Islam is real. This looks to me however to be a staged event to get the gullible masses willing to give up even more freedom in the name of "protection."
