Boyd and Anes Subasic Speak in Code

This is a conversation between defendants Daniel Patrick Boyd and Anes Subasic recorded April 18, 2008.

According to the indictment, Boyd and Subasic hold "a coded conversation in which they discussed preparing to send two individuals overseas to engage in violent jihad." The FBI summary of this call can be seen here. The summary also explains why investigators believe the references to cars are part of the code, since a conversation between the two just a few minutes earlier included discussion of their concerns about FBI monitoring of their activities.

Transcript:

SUBASIC: "Since I don't know, you know, how good you know these individual cars."

BOYD: "I've been driving them for 20 years."

SUBASIC: "So, they are in good shape?"

BOYD: "Oh, Mashallah. Like a Porsche."

SUBASIC: "So, we don't need to fix anything on it."

BOYD: "Well, we will if they don't ... you know if you take and drive a Land Rover on the highway, it starts to break down. Beause Land Rover for the savannah and the mountains and off road. Like if you take a Porsche and ride it on the off road, it's gonna break it down because it's for the highway. So, nothing needs to be fixed, yet." SUBASIC: "Maybe different tires?"

BOYD: "Maybe. The point is, is that all of those superficial changes don't change what is inside the heart of that car. It is still a Porsche and this one is still a Land Rover." SUBASIC: "But they like to be drived fast. Drove fast?

BOYD: These cars? No, they like to drive according to the law. If it's fast then they will go fast. If it's slow, they will go slow. They want to follow the law. Obey all the speed limits, stop signs, everything. That's how they know, if they don't drive their car, it's going to become broken down. If you put a car in the garage for 20 years, believe me, it's worthless.

SUBASIC: But you think they are able, with such a speed, to drive to that distance and they are able to do so, their engines, what's your opinion?

BOYD: "One of them I will say I am, I, I am sure. The other one I am 95 percent sure." SUBASIC: "How old the cars?"

BOYD: "Hmm?"

SUBASIC: "How old the cars are?"

BOYD: "20 years."

I told before 4 years how I cannot find any codes. I stand for it even now. I want tell about his crime past few things which FBI should have in find for future.

1. If you google ' war crimes Banja Luka' you get insight what Muslim teen could do in that time. He would died for 1% of all they told he did.

2. Where are people who wrote rapport. Are they free or sit jailed for something.

3. FBi write on the site how he commited crimes in Serbia. It is the same you tell Mexico instead California. It is huge mistake.

4. Boys appear as criminals. It is family against one person.

The rest is up to law and justice.

Language matters

I am educated teacher of Serbo-Croatian. I have tried to think how one says what Subasic was speaking. His 'individual' car would be in better English particulat car, some car, special car. Land rovere is of huge interessts to most male from former Yugoslavia. Thus, I do belive Boyd is on drugs for he sounds odd. Subasic gave notive how car likes to be drove fast.It comes out of belive how car engine should be 'pushed' if it is strong. Here I cannot find any codes.
