Mohamed Shorbagi, the imam of Rome Mosque in North Georgia, pleaded guilty to providing support to Hamas in 2006 and was sentenced in February 2007 to more than seven years in prison.[1] Shorbagi made donations to the Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development and attended meetings where Hamas officials spoke. [2]
