Rabat Mosque
San Diego, CA

Two 9/11 hijackers, Khalid al-Mihdhar and Nawaf Al-Hazmi attended this mosque where they met Omar Bakarbashat, who was detained as a material witness in the 9/11 Commission investigation and later deported.[1] Bakarbashat helped Hazmi learn English.[2]

An Imam at this mosque in 2000, Anwar Al-Awlaki, is considered an important contact for the two 9/11 hijackers.[3]
