This is just one more proof that the conflict over Israel is not a territorial conflict which can be resolved by drawing new lines on old maps. In its essence, the conflict is an Islamic religious holy war (jihad) against the Jews, just like the Hamas Charter says it is. Islam cannot tolerate the existence of a sovereign Jewish state because Islam's god, Allah, commands Moslems to make war on the Jews and subjugate them. Islam's prophet, Muhammad, commands Moslems to fight the Jews and kill them -- just like the Hamas Charter says.
