Of the 59 organizations which the U.S. State Department currently lists as terrorist organizations, 44 are Islamic, exactly 75%. Most of the rest are vestigial communist revolutionary organizations, principally in Latin America. Two are separatist groups in Basque and Sri Lanka, and one is a cult in Japan. The IRA is listed twice. 100% of the organizations added to the list in the last ten years are Islamic. Probably just a coincidence.
