Congress should ban teaching about Pearl Harbor when studying WWII because it might be insensitive to some Japanese. They should ban the teaching about what lead to the Revolutionary War and the war itself because it might be insensitive to some Brits. Let's ban the teaching of slavery and end Black History month because it might be insensitive to some white people. While we're at it, the UN needs to ban any mention of the Crusades in Middle Eastern countries where it is still a raw nerve 900 years later. Some Christians might find the way it's discussed in the Middle East insensitive to their feelings. There you have it, politically correct history. Makes sense to me.
