A lawyer is an officer of the court and has obligations of truthfulness, etc.

Hassan is obviously unsuited to be an officer of the court. His obligation under Islamic law is to use tacqyya, or dissimulation in the circumstances he is in. He is unable to fulfill the oblgations of an officer of the court.
