[DNM] A federal complaint charged five residents of a compound in Amalia, in Taos County, N.M. (Amalia Compound) with violating the federal firearms and conspiracy laws. The criminal complaint charges Jany Leveille with being an alien unlawfully in possession of firearms and ammunition. The other four defendants are charged with aiding and abetting Leveille in committing the offense, and with conspiring with Leveille to commit the offense. A federal indictment subsequently charged Levielle with possession of firearms and ammunition. The other four defendants were charged with conspiring to provide an illegal alien with weapons. A federal judge ordered the suspects be held in custody until their trial.
