On May 4, 2006, Moussaoui was sentenced to life in prison without parole. Moussaoui claimed at various points in his trial to be the 20th 9/11 hijacker, though he later recanted this, saying he was part of another al Qaeda plot. Moussaoui attended the Airman Flight School in Norman, Oklahoma, where he received training as a pilot.
