Jamaat ul-Fuqra

Jamaat ul-Fuqra member James Williams was sentenced in March 2001 to 69 years in connection with the murder of Arizona Muslim cleric Rashad Khalifain in January 1990 at the Masjid of Tucson where Khalifa worked. Williams was the leader of the Denver cell of ul-Fuqra. Other chapters have been investigated for terrorist acts in New York, Detroit, Philadelphia, Toronto, Denver, and Tucson, according to Colorado's attorney general.
