[EDNY] A federal indictment charged senior al Qaeda leader Adnan Shukrijumah with helping to mastermind the attempted bombing of New York City's subway in 2009 and said the effort was part of a larger plot that included a failed terrorist attempt in the UK. Zarein Ahmedzay, one of the men involved in the New York City subway plot, is alleged to have traveled to a terrorist training camp in North Waziristan during the summer of 2008 where he met with Shukrijumah.
