Reader comment on item: Questions Remain Over U.S. "Ransom Payment" to Iran

SERIOUSLY?? Let me get this straight. The Obama administration paid Iran 1.7 billion dollars of American taxpayers' money to settle a lawsuit filed because a weapons deal fell through in 1979 following the Iranian revolution when Iran became a theocracy and an enemy of the US! It is absolutely outrageous!! Why would ANY arms deal be honored under such circumstances?? The anti-American deals made by the Obama administration are staggering and the State Department response is, "We are confident that this was a good settlement for the American taxpayer." A good settlement? A good settlement for whom??? It seems the only beneficiary of Obama's deals is Iran. No wonder Donald Trump is so popular. He is the only candidate willing to say the obvious, "The emperor has no clothes!"
