Thank you very much for posting this explanation. As others have said, most people do not want to believe that people can be evil. they want to believe in an angelic society filled with idealistic goodness. They may feel that terrorists like Humas can be changed, but unfortunately their hate runs deep. I am reading a book, "Born Guilty" a Haddasah book selection, about the children of Nazi SS "soldiers". These Nazi's were also brainwashed.

We must protect ourselves and face reality even though we don't want to.
