Perhaps the most significant part of Obama's speech was "if you play by the rules" - i.e. accept the Constitution and do not promote the idea that the United Stated of America adopt Sharia (not even for the minority who are Muslims)
The Constitution must take precedence over Sharia in every respect, including marriage, divorce, inheritance, etc.
