Does He Remember What the Turkish President Called For?
Reader comment on item: Hamas' Ismail Haniyeh Meets with Turkish Prime Minister

In his state visit to Turkey, does Ismail Haniyeh remember what the Turkish President called for? Turkish President Abdullah Gul called on Hamas to recognize the State of Israel. If Hamas does so, then it can joint the Palestinian Authority in peace negotiations with Israel. Ismail Haniyeh is going to resign as Prime Minister, which means a change of government in the Hamas. If this change means Hamas will join the Palestinian Authority in negotiating with Israel, then the foundations can laid for creating a two-state solution.
