It's also better to be safe than dead. I believe the statistics show that after 9/11 about 46% of Americans felt terrorism to be the number one priority facing the country. Today this number is about 1%. That isn't only incredible, it's frightening. We have become more concerned with political correctness than with the real problems facing the west.
