Chaplin vetting-Not surprised by former IG remarks
Reader comment on item: Former Defense IG Blasts Chaplain Vetting

How can we be shocked or surprised by former DoD IG Joseph Schmitz's remarks about the laxity of the vetting process of military chaplins. The comment by the Army Chief of Staff, George Casey right after the Ft. Hood attack speaks volumns when trying to understand the military's "PC FIRST" attitude toward radical Islam. The infamous quote by Gen. Casey I refer to ? "What happened at Ft. Hood was a tragedy. I believe it would become an even greater tragedy if our diversity becomes a casualty here." Legally problematic indeed.
