Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL)

[NDOH] Aaron Travis Daniels, aka Harun Muhammad, aka Abu Yusef of Columbus, Ohio, was charged with attempting to provide material support to the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL). Federal agents arrested Daniels as he attempted to leave Columbus with an alleged eventual destination of Libya, for the purpose of joining ISIL. Daniels sent $250 in January 2016 to an ISIL operative and had communicated his commitment to violent overseas jihad. In July 2017, Daniels pleaded guilty to attempting to provide material support to ISIS. He was sentenced to 80 months in prison for attempting to provide material support to ISIS and was ordered to remain under court supervision for the rest of his life.
